Oasis have announced a new stadium tour for next summer on the eve of their Wembley Arena gig.
The tour will begin with two dates at Heaton Park in Manchester in June, closing with two Wembley Stadium shows.
The band, currently number one in the UK album charts with Dig Out Your Soul, will also perform at venues in Sunderland, Cardiff, Edinburgh and Dublin.
Speaking at a press conference at Wembley Stadium hours before the band's sold-out gig at the neighbouring arena, Noel Gallagher predicted the 2009 shows would be "the gigs of the next year, if not the decade".
"What a night out," he added. "I'm glad I'll be able to get a ticket!"
The Gallagher brothers, Gem Archer, Andy Bell and new drummer Chris Sharrock will be supported on their 2009 stadium tour by Kasabian and the Enemy.
Noel explained the support acts had been chosen as close friends Kasabian had been given "first option on any 'supergigs'," while he had been a fan of the Enemy since their first single.
The closing gigs at Wembley Stadium will be the band's first at the new venue, having last played at the venue in 2000, when they filmed their Familiar to Millions DVD.
And the Heaton Park shows coincide with the first music event there, when a gramophone recording of Italian opera singer Enrico Caruso attracted 40,000 people to the council-owned site.
Oasis' 2009 stadium shows will take place at:June

10th - Sunderland, Stadium of Light
12th - Cardiff, Millennium Stadium
17th - Edinburgh, Murrayfield
20th - Dublin, Slane Castle
