90s pop greats James have announced that they are to reform to undertake a UK tour this year.
Since topping the charts with hits such as Sit Down and (She's A) Star the band have taken a six-year break from the music industry.
But the Indie rockers have announced that they will be back this year with five concerts in Glasgow, Newcastle, Birmingham, London and Manchester in the spring.
"James are back. Still fresh as a daisy. Ready to be the bride not the bridesmaid," the band said on its official website.
As well as playing "a back catalogue to die for" the announcement also promises a "bunch of new songs" at the gigs.
Speaking on XFM singer Tim Booth said that he was unsure about how the reunion came together.
"If you had asked me in the summer would James get back together I would have said absolutely not, not a chance. It was kind of a load of synchronistic events that took place over about a month," he explained.
After meeting up with other bandmates Booth said that they "jammed for days".
"It was really fantastic, so we said 'Alright let's see how this goes'. We didn't tell anyone, we didn't even tell our manager. But it went so well musically that we felt we had to see how far it could go. And then the rest of it sprung from there really."
Another 90s band confirmed their reunion today; Crowded House said that the band is definitely getting back together with plans for a new studio album and world tour.
