A host of top names have been added to the bill for Morrissey's O2 Wireless Festival gig in Hyde Park later this summer.

Already confirmed for the former Smiths frontman's only UK festival appearance this summer are the oddball solo-star Beck and shimmering American rockers the National.

But now a four more acts have been added to the developing bill, with Lightspeed Champion first up.

The former Test Icicles main man Dev Hynes has reinvested himself as a whimsical lo-fi troubadour since the implosion of the band that made him famous in 2006, and will present material from Falling off the Lavender Bridge, released earlier this year, to a growing number of fans.

Hynes will be joined by Siouxsie, formerly of the Banshees and The Creatures. She has previous with Morrissey, having worked with the notorious gloomonger on 1994's Interlude single, and will add the voice that defined post-punk to proceedings.

Also on offer will be Dirty Pretty Things. While former brother-in-arms Pete Doherty continues to grab the headlines with his disaster chic wardrobe and casual drug problem, Carl Barat has been working just off the radar – winning over a whole new generation of music connoisseurs.

The band are presently working on the follow-up to their gold certified Waterloo or Anywhere album, with new material likely to feature prominently.

Finally, stately punks the New York Dolls have been confirmed.

In his teenage years, Morrissey was the president of their fan club, and his affinity with the band has never ceased, adding the group to the bill of his Meltdown festival a few years back, and continuing to show faith in their abilities here.

Tickets are £40, on sale now, with the event taking place on Friday July 4th at the central London venue.
