There has been "no discussion" of a potential sequel to box office smash Mamma Mia! according to Abba's Benny Andersson.
The musical adaptation became the most successful British film of all time at the UK box office last week, having earned more than £67 million after 17 weeks on release.
But despite the success of the musical adaptation, Anderson said there is "no talk" of a follow-up.
Based on the songs of Abba, Mamma Mia! - written by Catherine Johnson with music and lyrics by Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus - tells of a young girl's (Amanda Seyfried) wedding on a Greek island, to which she invites the three men who could be her father (Brosnan, Firth and Stellan Skarsgard).
Andersson admitted that the film's distributor Universal Pictures "would like a sequel because they're just flabbergasted at the success - more than anyone, I think".
"If [Johnson] comes up with something, if she's keen on it, then maybe she'll call us," he told BBC News.
Still holding a place in the top ten, more than four months after its release, Mamma Mia! last week overtook Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone as the most successful British film ever at the UK box office.
