James Brown has become the latest performer to join the BBC's Electric Proms line-up.
Known as the Godfather of Soul, Brown will perform a unique set inspired by his impromptu piano performances in hotel lobbies.
He will be joined by special guest stars, who have yet to be announced, for jazz and soul renditions.
Brown will also give performances of his classic hits such as Papa's Got A Brand New Bag and Living in America.
Also announced today as joining the line-up is rising star Jamie T and Trinidad-born Calypso king Young Tiger, who is performing for the first time in decades.
Taking place between October 25th and October 29th at a number of venues in London, including The Roundhouse, The Electric Ballroom and The Enterprise, the Electric Proms is heralded as a celebration of new and innovative musical styles.
It will also be broadcast across a number of BBC television channels and radio stations.
Artists who have already been announced as taking part include Guillemots, The Who, Damon Albarn with Paul Simonon and The Good, The Bad and The Queen.
BBC Electric Proms festival director Lorna Clarke said earlier this year: "Our ambition is to stage an event that will create new musical moments and foster interesting collaborations between big name artists alongside exciting performances from up and coming talent.
"The mixture of headline acts combined with a rich variety of fringe performances means we should be able to reach a huge breadth of music fans in an exciting live environment."
