Thousands of people began filtering into the Glastonbury festival site on Wednesday, as start of annual music event neared.
Keen fans set up their tents from 09:00 BST in blazing sunshine, with just a few unthreatening clouds spotted in the sky.
Reporting from the site, inthenews.co.uk's Lewis Bazley said the toilet conditions were "mercifully mediocre" at present and a laid back party atmosphere had emerged as attendees prepared for headline acts Neil Young, Bruce Springsteen and Blur throughout the weekend.
Reformed boyband East17 are an ironic early attraction tomorrow with the main acts set to take to the stage from Friday.
