Reformed Britpop greats Blur provided a hair-raising climax to the 2009 Glastonbury Festival with a lengthy and hit-laden set.
In their first show at the Somerset event since 1998, the Essex quartet brought out hit after hit with a brilliant opening one-two punch of She's So High and Girls and Boys leaving smiles on the faces of thousands upon thousands of exhausted festivalgoers.
"There's a lot of people here!" screamed frontman Damon Albarn as the four-piece eased into their two-hour set which brought the curtain down on a festival blessed with blazing sunshine and stunning performances.
The Pyramid Stage had earlier seen sets from legends such as Tom Jones, Tony Christie and Status Quo while Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Bat For Lashes and the simply superb Bon Iver had graced the Other Stage.
Festival organiser Michael Eavis has since revealed he has in mind "three or four" major acts to headline in 2010, the festival's 40th anniversary.
