Jay-Z mocks Oasis in Glasto set

Jay-Z performed Wonderwall with a grin on his face
Rap star Jay-Z mocked the Gallagher brothers in his headline set at Glastonbury last night.

The Roc-A-Fella star had come under attack for being involved in Glastonbury by Noel Gallagher, but made his point clear on the Pyramid stage last night.

He demonstrated why he sticks to words, not melodies, with a musically poor – but otherwise hilarious – version of classic Oasis hit Wonderwall.

The audience largely appreciated his set, but some older veterans seemed dubious about the presence of rap at what has historically been a guitar-oriented festival.

Jay-Z's Oasis jibe was overtaken in the headline stakes last night by Amy Winehouse.

She appeared to lunge at a member of the audience at the end of her set, while slurring around in a vocally unimpressive performance.

A spokesman said she lashed out after a member of the crowd tried to grab her hair.End of story
