Britney Spears 'reinvented' for comeback

Tuesday, 01 Jul 2008 12:32
Britney Spears is said to be "reinvented" for her new album
Britney Spears is being reinvented by producer Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins for her comeback.

The Grammy award winner said he has been working with Spears on material for her new album, describing the songs as "very dancey, really up-tempo, aggressive, catchy and hook friendly".

"I'm trying some new things [with Spears] … I've always worked with Britney and I love working with her," Jerkins told Rap-Up TV.

"I'm trying to reinvent her and reinvent myself with her project."

Spears has been through a rollercoaster of a year, with custody battles, trips to rehab and hospital and disputes between her family and former confidant Sam Lufti.

But Jerkins has said despite personal battles, the 26-year-old is "always professional", telling how, unlike some artists, she was able to record a song within two hours.

Spears may have been off the music scene for a while - her last album was released in October 2007 - but Jerkins said he believes "it's about to be her time again".
