David and Victoria Beckham sack their party organiser after he was caught selling on tickets for a charity bash.
John Thursfield was caught out when tickets for the UNICEF dinner were being offered for sale at £5,875 per head.
The fund-raising dinner will be held at Beckingham Palace on the eve of the World Cup finals and will collect money for UNICEF and a series of other charities.
The party which has a film theme will be held on May 21. Princes William and Harry, pop stars Madonna and Elton John and Tom Cruise and the England football team have all been invited to the event.
Mr Thursfield sold tickets to nightclub owner Dave West, who thought the money was being channeled into good causes rather than the pockets of a party planner.
Mr West, 61, bought four tickets for £23,500. He told the Mirror: "It's disgraceful that someone should try to abuse the Beckhams, UNICEF and other charities in this way."
