Christina Aguilera and Shakira are temporarily dominating the UK pop scene
Latin songstresses Christina Aguilera and Shakira have taken the honours in this week's album and single charts respectively.
Christina's third album Back to Basics becomes the 25-year-old's first-ever UK album number one, while Colombian singer Shakira retains the top spot for the fourth consecutive week with Hips Don't Lie, also featuring Wyclef Jean.
In the singles chart Chamillionaire featuring Krayzie Bone claim silver with Ridin', Gallic DJ David Guetta vs Egg are at three with Love Don't Let Me Go (Walking Away), while the Arctic Monkeys' Leave Before the Lights Come On is the highest new entry at four.
Every Time We Touch by Cascada slips three to five, Cassie's Me & U is the fastest climber at six, with the aforementioned Ms Aguilera down four at seven with Ain't No Other Man.
James Morrison and Rihanna are at eight and nine with You Give Me Something and Unfaithful respectively, and Mickey Modelle and Jessie's Dancing in the Dark completes the top ten.
In the album chart, Xtina has knocked James Morrison's undiscovered to two, with Snow Patrol at three. Orson's Bright Idea and the Kooks' Inside In/Inside out are at four and five.
