The Spice Girls could be set to add to their already-weighty comeback pay packets with a lucrative tour down under.

According to reports, the feisty fivesome have been offered some £10 million to take their reunion tour to Australia.

Having already taken in successful gigs in this country, as well as North America and Europe, the reunited girl group are believed to be mulling over a 12-date tour in the southern hemisphere.

Sydney, Brisbane and Perth are likely to be the cities set for Spicefever in March, according to the Sun.

"The girls have a massive fan base in Australia and concert promoters are offering them a huge amount of cash to perform there," a source told the newspaper.

If the girls are to ensure a successful trip down south, however, they will need to avoid any more injuries, with Mel B the latest to pick up a war wound.

Following hard on the heels of Emma Bunton's sprained ankle, Mel B has apparently twisted her own ankle after a raucous New Year's Eve celebration.

According to bandmate Geri Halliwell, who announced the fact to fans at the O2 gig on Wednesday, Scary Spice "got so drunk she fell down a flight of stairs and twisted her ankle".

Geri, Mel B, Emma, Mel C and Victoria Beckham are playing 17 gigs at the former Millennium Dome site before finishing the UK leg of their Return of the Spice Girls tour in Manchester.

Gigs on the eastern seaboard of America follow, culminating in a February 26th slot at Toronto in Canada, with more venues expected to be announced for later this year.
