Beyonce 'set to wed' after getting marriage licence

Wednesday, 02 Apr 2008 15:54
Could Beyonce Knowles bet set to walk up the aisle?
Beyonce and Jay Z are set to wed after getting a marriage licence, it has been claimed today.

People magazine reports that the celebrity pair obtained the licence in Scarsdale, New York, on Tuesday morning.

If true then the singers now have 60 days to have a wedding ceremony.

The rumours of marriage are not the first to affect the couple; in December 2006 reports said Beyonce and Jay Z were going to get married in the Caribbean.

Later that month the former Destiny's Child singer told a magazine that "you can't rush a man into anything - whether it's a relationship, marriage or having children".

Beyonce and Jay Z have been together since 2002 and they have collaborated on the tracks Bonnie and Clyde and Crazy In Love.

A representative for Beyonce would not comment on the latest wedding report when asked by People magazine, leaving their future relationship plans a closely-guarded secret.
