The Spice Girls will reveal their reunion plans next Thursday, it emerged today.
Six years have passed since the all-girl pop sensation, which wowed audiences all over the country in the 1990s thanks to their brand of girl power and short skirts, split up.
Posh, Sporty, Baby, Ginger and Scary have had varying degrees of chart success in the intervening years but none have matched the 30 million album sales they notched up during their time together.
Now it seems growing rumours about a potential reunion for the group have some truth to them. Simon Fuller's 19 Entertainment company released a statement toady saying the group would "make an official announcement to the world regarding future plans on Thursday".
According to the Daily Mirror, their plans include a 25-date world tour which will net each of the five a cool $10 million (£5 million).
An insider was quoted by the newspaper as saying the deal had taken "years to sign off", but "finally all of the girls are on board".
A comeback single may also be on the cards. Tabloids reported last month that two of the ex-Spices had been spotted leaving the home of old record producer Richard Stannard, leading to hopes that an attempt at a Christmas number one might be on the cards.
