Surrounded by her exotic animal friends Nim (the Oscar-nominated Abigail Breslin - Little Miss Sunshine) leads an exciting and tropical existence inspired by the books and legends she is so fond of. She lives an enchanted life inspired by her literary hero Alex Rover - the world's greatest adventurer - and so when her life on the island comes under threat it is the creator of the Alex Rover adventures who she immediately turn to for help.
However, what Nim is unaware of is that Alex Rover is only the alter-ego of Alexandra Rover (Jodie Foster) a mild and fainthearted recluse who hides herself away in her big city apartment. Whilst Nim strives to save her island home Alexandra too must anxiously venture out into the world she has been so intent on avoiding but it is only together that they can realise the courage needed to conquer Nim's Island.
A new fantasy-adventure and inspirational tale, Nim's Island focuses on striving to become the hero of your own story and achieving the feats that before you had only dreamed of. With an all-star cast and empowering message, Nim's Island is released in the UK on May 2nd.
