Washed up and on the wrong side of the Hollywood machine, Joe Scot (Daniel Craig) is a fading movie star whose sadian lifestyle of sex, drugs and celebrity has squeezed him dry and taken its toll.
Wandering through his 40s, the aimless Joe no longer lives but rather only exists, finding himself locked away in the lonely confinement of his Malibu mansion. With the public opinion and the outside world firmly turned against him it is only through confrontation with tragedy that he finds himself compelled to face up the past that haunts him.
Flashing back to his small town upbringing in a 1970s England awash with glam-rock, we are guided through the young Joe's (played by Harry Eden) adventures towards adult masculinity. A victim of his own maturing sexuality and the results of his teenage actions, Flashback's of a Fool charts Joe's development from boyhood and the reasons the forced him to flee his childhood home.
