Monkeying about: the history of the tea up to the present day
Everyone's favourite knitted monkey hits the big screen this month - check out the trailer here on inthenews.co.uk.
For centuries both monkeys and tea have roamed the globe unaware of the other and their potential. It is only now with the PG Tips Monkey that the two are finally being united.
A Tale of Two Continents is Monkey's new short film destined to hit UK screen over the coming weeks. The movie will see our favourite knitted primate drawing viewers through the history of tea – a journey from ancient China to the present day and the Rainforest Alliance Certification of PG tip tea suppliers.
Intent on informing the UK's tea drinkers of the intricacies and history behind their favourite brew Monkey will be appearing in this brand new, mini-blockbuster showing only before family features The Spiderwick Chronicles, Gameplan, Horton Hears A Who, and Hannah Montana.
Recounting his experiences of life on set, Monkey solemnly admitted: "It was the best of times, it was the worst of times; but if an artiste has to kiss the leading lady to get his message across, then so be it!"
