Scarlett smashes car after paparazzi chase

Scarlett was leaving Disneyland when she was spotted by photographers
Hollywood actress Scarlett Johansson reportedly crashed her Mercedes on Sunday after fleeing the paparazzi.

The Lost in Translation star was visiting Californian theme park Disneyland with two friends when she was spotted by press photographers eager to get a snap of her, according to website Hollywood.com.

Eye witnesses claim the blonde actress smashed into another vehicle containing a woman and her two daughters as she swerved to get away from the pursuing paparazzi in her plush car.

"Scarlett looked really shaken up and when both cars pulled over in a safe spot, she apologized profusely to the other woman," one witness told Hollywood.com.

After swapping insurance details with the other driver, Scarlett was reportedly able to drive home in a replacement car delivered by a Mercedes rep.

Scarlett's publicist Marcel Pariseau said over-eager celebrity snappers were to blame for the actress' crash, stating: "The fender bender was induced by the paparazzi, who chased her for 45 minutes."

Scarlett, 21, is not the first tinseltown actress to literally run into trouble with the paparazzi.

Freaky Friday star Lindsay Lohan was left with minor injuries in June after photographer Galo Ramirez allegedly drove into her car deliberately.
