The brother of Hollywood actress Mia Farrow has killed himself at an art gallery, local police report.
Patrick Farrow, 66, died from a single gunshot to the head late on Monday night in his home town of Castleton, in central Vermont.
Ms Farrow's manager, Laura Berwick, released a statement on behalf of the actress expressing the family's grief.
"The family of Patrick Farrow is grieving the tragic loss of their beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle who sadly chose to take his own life.
"They greatly appreciate the support of their friends during this difficult time."
Police initially believed Patrick Farrow's death to have been "suspicious" but subsequent forensic tests and medical examination declared the 66-year-old had committed suicide.
Mia Farrow has appeared in over 40 films and won a host of awards for her performance in 1968's Rosemary's Baby.
