Russell Brand wants Radcliffe in film
Comic Russell Brand wants Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe to play him in the screen adaptation of his autobiography, My Booky Wook.

Brand told the Mirror: "I originally wanted to get an actor to play me and toyed with the idea of Daniel Radcliffe.

"But I thought he wouldn't be able to take all the drink. Or the drugs or fraternising with women. So I thought I should do it."

But according to Brand, Oasis's Noel Gallagher has agreed to play a character.

"Noel Gallagher will be in there, playing a seedy homosexual. He'll be a sexually androgynous, amorphous character - it'll be mad."

Brand also hoped to get Little Britain star David Walliams on board, playing himself, along with Michael Palin, as a vindictive headmaster.

Although the Mirror said David and Noel have provisionally agreed to take part, there is no confirmation as yet on Daniel and Michael.

Brand also had other ideas for the casting, telling the Mirror: "I'm going to hand-pick the ladies. It is difficult doing those sex scenes though - it's very awkward. I feel like I really ought to put on a gold medal display of sexual moves."

Filming for My Booky Wook is due to start in the summer and will be directed by Michael Winterbottom.
