Faux Kazakh reporter Borat is being sued by some very angry college boys.

Many of the duped participants whose bigotry was revealed through underhand means were not happy with their role in box office smash Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan.

Now it appears that two of them have taken the next logical step and are suing 20th Century Fox, the studio behind the film starring Borat's creator, Sacha Baron Cohen.

The Borat movie's enormous box office success has certainly given the plaintiffs' argument that their personal lives have been ruined by the movie. It netted $26 million (£13.6 million) in its opening weekend in the US alone.

The students claim that the bigoted racism they displayed in the film was induced by alcohol, which the producers plied them with before the shoot in order to help them "loosen up". They insist they were told the film would not be shown in the US, but only in European cinemas.

Furthermore the two students accuse the movie's producers of engaging in sharp practice when it came to the legal niceties of their contract. Crucially, they argue that they were drunk when they signed the disclaimer that permitted their participation.

20th Century Fox have rejected the lawsuit, saying it "has no merit". If the students' claims are found to be true, however, ees certainly not nice.

What do you think?
