Kate Moss has broken her silence over her drugs scandal and has admitted that she had been "a stupid girl".

The Croydon-born model hit the headlines last summer when she was secretly photographed snorting 20 lines of coke at a studio date with her then boyfriend Pete Doherty.

After a number of contracts were cancelled with high-profile companies such as Burberry and H&M, Moss retreated to a rehab clinic in the States to sort out her health.

And it seems like she has learnt valuable lessons from the experience, which almost threatened to ruin her career, saying that she had "been really stupid and childish".

According to the Daily Mirror, Moss spoke candidly at the launch of The Bar at the swanky Dorchester hotel in London.

"I'm still very childish and I always will be. But I am 10,000 times smarter than before," she said.

Although Moss has put her turbulent relationship with junkie rocker Doherty behind her, new details have emerged about her feelings for him before the split.

In Doherty's journal, which has been sold to a publisher for £150,000, the model penned a poem on his drug habit, saying, "You love them more than you love me. So that's why I could cry all day long, that's why I can't breathe."

As well as learning lessons from the drugs scandal, Moss has also managed to make an impressive comeback, with contracts signed with companies including Burberry and Virgin.
