Rex Newmark says time on show has changed him for better
While he faces eviction this week, Big Brother 9 contestant Rex Newmark says his time on the show has changed him for the better.
Rex, a 24-year-old chef from Hampstead, north London and Belinda Harris-Reid from Exeter face the public vote this week after being nominated for eviction by their fellow housemates.
And while Belinda reacted pragmatically to hearing she faced eviction, saying: "I told you so," Rex remarked: "Thanks for hating me so much."
Fellow contestants said Rex should be evicted for his arrogance, sarcasm and mistakes with the shopping budget.
While taking part in the Le Tour De Grand Frere task, the housemates in the 'Hell' group were required to cycle two bikes for 520 kilometres over a 30-hour period.
Belinda, a mother-of-two, chose her instalment on the bike to cycle for an extended stay in the house, crying: "Think positive thoughts, I don't want to go. Let Rex go!"
Meanwhile, Rex and Dale Howard discussed this week's eviction, with the former commenting: "Thinking about it now, I reckon I'm going to stay," to Dale's agreement.
Speaking in the diary room later that evening, Rex told Big Brother: "I am quite an arrogant person
and a lot of people don't like me because of that."
But he added he felt he had changed for the better since being in the house which was one of his main goals for coming in.
