The contestants on the tenth series of Big Brother have named Marcus Akin as the strongest housemate after a new task.
Big Brother gathered the housemates and asked them to name the contestant they believed was the strongest, the most patient, the most intelligent, and the most musical.
Each housemate picked by the group had to fulfil a personal challenge in order to prove they were worthy of their title, with a potential reward available if successful.
Housemates chose window fitter Marcus as the strongest in their number, with the 35-year-old successfully ripping a telephone book in half in order to win some alcohol for the group.
Angel, a boxer and former rock star in her native Russia, was named by the contestants as the most musical housemates, but despite being given three attempts to complete her challenge and win sweets for the house, was unable to play Twinkle Twinkle Little Star on the keyboard.
Freddie George Fisher, who is being dubbed Halfwit in the house after changing his name so as to earn official housemate status on the new series, was picked by the other contestants as the smartest member of the group and correctly named Descartes as the philosopher who said: "I think therefore I am."
Lisa Wallace, 41, was named the most patient housemate by the other contestants and proved them correct after spending two hours and 15 minutes sitting in the garden as instructed, until Big Brother called her into the diary room and rewarded her with sweets.
