It is the second stint in rehab for Lindsay this year
Lindsay Lohan's latest stint in rehab has forced back the schedule for her forthcoming film project Poor Things.
Her decision to take some time out cast doubt on whether she could continue her involvement with the movie, which is to be produced by Shirley MacLaine.
But in a statement, MacLaine and her fellow producer Rob Hickman said they supported the 20-year-old actress and would accommodate her time in rehab, Hollywood trade paper Variety reports.
"In the spirit of helping Lindsay Lohan and her rehabilitation, we have been asked by Lindsay to comply with her wishes to continue working on Poor Things," MacLaine and Hickman said.
"We are trying to rearrange the shooting schedule to facilitate her working at the end of the shoot to coincide with the completion of her rehabilitation. We wish her love and the blending of mind, body and spirit."
Lohan was arrested last weekend on suspicion of driving under the influence after her car hit the kerb. Police said they found what they believe to be cocaine in the vehicle.
It is not the first time that shooting of a film has been disrupted because of Lohan.
Last summer she was slated by the producer of Georgia Rule for turning up late for work due to her alleged partying.
It is also not the first time the actress has experienced rehab; in January she checked into the Wonderland rehabilitation centre in Los Angeles after apparently collapsing at a party after the Golden Globes award ceremony
