Baarmy Sheep support England
A flock of sheep from Cumbria have teamed up to boost support for England's bid for World Cup glory.
The Baarmy Sheep from the Lake District have released their version of the perennial England favourite Land Of Hope And Glory, which features singing sheep in full voice baaing along to the popular track.
An accompanying pop video shows two contesting flocks of sheep playing football in a field in the Lake District as a human referee struggles to keep order.
"We hope this sheep single and video puts a smile on the face of football fans and the England team after the pessimism surrounding the fitness of Wayne Rooney," said a spokesman from the Cumbria Tourist Board.
"Every England fan has heard of three lions well, this is three lambs."
Pop competition for the Baarmy Sheep's single comes from Crazy Frog's Ole Ole Ole, as well as from the official England theme song by Embrace.
Although the indie rockers will not be quaking in their boots by the commercial competition offered by a group of sheep, the unimpressed reaction of their single by critics might mean they may pay slightly more attention to the fluffy Cumbrian football supporters than they would otherwise have done.
