Jessica Alba has given birth to a baby girl, according to reports.

Us Weekly magazine claims the Fantastic Four star welcomed her first child into the world at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre in Los Angeles this weekend.

The 27-year-old actress, who married her long-term boyfriend Cash Warren just three weeks ago, confirmed her pregnancy in December.

And according to the magazine, Alba's father was overheard saying of his granddaughter: "She's beautiful."

Warren, who met Alba while working as a director's assistant on Fantastic Four in 2004, was also seen taking food into the maternity ward.

There has been no official comment from the actress's representatives as of yet.

Speaking to Allure magazine last month, the one-time Dark Angel star insisted that her pregnancy was not an accident, as she and Warren had failed to practice safe sex.

"I can't say it was a total accident," she explained.

"Because you're aware of when you're being careful and when you're not. It just happened so soon."

She added: "I never believed women had to be virgins when they got married, or that a woman has to fall in love with a guy just because they're having sex. I don't think sex is a big deal."
