Geri and the girls will definitely perform in Buenos Aires.Spice Girls deny email claims
The Spice Girls have denied cancelling a concert in Argentina after fans were sent an email purporting to be from the reformed girl band.
Several websites reported that the Buenos Aires leg of the group's reunion world tour was to be called off, due to supposed high demand for their US and UK shows, after fans were sent an email claiming to be from the fab five.
But while the official date for the show has not yet been confirmed - a February concert is likely - the band have issued an official statement rubbishing the fake email.
A Spice Girls spokesman said: "The Spice Girls would like to make it clear that they have not cancelled their Buenos Aires show.
"A story has appeared on several websites that includes a fake email and competition from the girls. The fake email claims that due to the demand so far in the UK and the US this show is going to be cancelled.
"The email goes onto say that they will be running some competitions for their South American fans to travel to the UK to watch a show.
"This is not the case and this email is 100 per cent unofficial and has nothing to do with the Spice Girls."
The Spice Girls world tour begins in Vancouver, Canada, on December 2nd, before moving on to San Jose, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Chicago and Boston and then travelling across the Atlantic for gigs in Manchester and London.
