Brendan makes scantily-clad bid for freedom

Wednesday, 16 Aug 2006 16:06
Brendan - wearing more than in today's escapades
Strictly Come Dancing star Brendan Cole is obviously very au fait with his Y-fronts as he tried to escape Love Island wearing just them today.

His fellow islanders have become increasingly frosty towards him after they watched him putting them all down during the Ask Kate task.

It seems that being given the cold shoulder was too much for Brendan to take, and after discovering that what he thought were secret comments had been shown to the group, he fled the resort wearing nothing but his tighty whiteys.

Former Eternal singer Kelle was the first to discover the scantily-clad Brendan on a bridge leaving the resort, although thankfully for her at this point he still had his sarong on.

Bursting into tears, he confided in her: "I want to get out of here. It's no f*****g good in there. I have had my problems and I f*****g dealt with them.

"One of the things I do is go somewhere else and say my opinion to someone else. I don't need to be stitched up by these b******s."

After agreeing to be accompanied back to the resort by security guards and to not go and see the producers, Brendan then made a last ditch bid for freedom.

Tossing aside his shoes and whipping off his sarong, Brendan's dashed into the undergrowth with just his Y-fronts for comfort.

But fans of the Kiwi dance king need not despair as he then spoke with producers and agreed to go back to the resort and apologise for his comments.
