Sutherland confirms 24 film in pipelines
Kiefer Sutherland, clearly not content with being one of the most well-paid actors in the world, has confirmed that a film version of hit TV series 24 is to be made.

Rumours have persisted that such a silver screen adaptation would be filmed but the show's producers and cast, including Sutherland, have until now denied that any wheels have been set in motion.

But speaking today, the American actor, who plays rogue agent Jack Bauer in the series, has given the clearest indication yet that fans of the show will soon be rewarded with a feature length production.

"The 24 movie would be a two-hour representation of a 24-hour day," Sutherland told MTV.

"That would be the first time that we would not do something in real time, but the characters would obviously all be derivative of the show.

"The timing issue is something the writers are working on right now. But the sky's the limit at that point for them, because we would not be restricted by the time element."

The award-winning 24 has established itself as one of the most popular TV shows of the decade both in the US and increasingly so in the UK.track
