Nesbitt 'embarrassing dad'

Saturday, 25 Mar 2006 10:05
Cold Feet actor James Nesbitt has embarrassed his daughter by singing live on radio to the nation's mothers.

Nesbitt was standing in for Christian O'Connell on his Virgin Radio breakfast music and chat programme.

The ubiquitous TV star decided to celebrate the upcoming Mother's Day be crooning his version of a selection of anthems on request.

He belted out renditions of That's Amore and Strangers in the Night during his radio show but not everyone listening enjoyed the performance.

Nesbitt's daughter Peggy certainly had a request: That her dad should stop embarrassing her on national radio.

Eight-year-old Peggy texted O'Connell saying: "Please tell my dad that's the most embarrassing thing he's ever done and please tell him not to do it again as my friends might be listening."

It did not stop the 41-year-old advert star from serenading Britain's mothers, but will he be receiving a gift for this year's Father's Day?track
