Naomi Campbell appeared in court today after being charged with assaulting her housekeeper with a mobile phone.
The supermodel attended the brief hearing at Manhattan criminal court, where the defence agreed to an adjournment pending a possible plea deal. Her case will now be heard on September 27th.
Campbell's former housekeeper, Ana Scolavino, claims that she was hit on the head after she had been unable to find a pair of jeans.
Extra focus has been thrown on Campbell after another maid, Gaby Gibson, has emerged to accuse the star of a number of charges, including personal injuries, civil assault, civil battery, employment discrimination.
In an interview with the New York Post earlier this year Gibson said that Campbell hit her, called her names and threatened to have her arrested.
It is not the first time that the supermodel has been in trouble with the courts.
In 2000 she pleaded guilty to assaulting an assistant and paid her an undisclosed sum as well as being made to take anger management classes.
