Celebs gear up for Big Brother

Wednesday, 03 Jan 2007 14:39
The formidable trio: Brand, McCall and O'Leary
Stars taking part in this year's Celebrity Big Brother are gearing up to enter the house this evening.

Channel 4 has refused to name the contestants, but speculation has been rife about who is set to be up for public scrutiny 24 hours a day.

Baywatch and Knight Rider legend David Hasselhoff has been tipped to be likely to enter the house.

Newspaper reports have claimed that former Big Brother housemate Jade Goody could also be taking part as a surprise addition, along with her boyfriend and family.

Other celebs rumoured to be taking part include H from the pop group Steps and former Miss Great Britain Danielle Lloyd.

Commenting on what the stars are letting themselves in for, presenter Dermot O'Leary said: "I don't think people have any comprehension how that house has an effect on people. The effect that place has on people is extraordinary.

"No one has an idea of the fact that it's such a claustrophobic place; it makes people paranoid. Everyone says this, and it's so true, you can't act 24/7 …so invariably the real you is always going to come out."

Who is entering the house will be revealed tonight on Channel 4 at 20:00 GMT.
