Charlotte Church gives birth to healthy baby girl
Singer turned TV presenter Charlotte Church and rugby player Gavin Henson are celebrating the birth of their daughter.
A message on Church's official blog confirmed the couple's new arrival, with the healthy baby girl weighing 6lbs 12oz.
The 21-year-old gave birth at her home in the Vale of Glamorgan, south Wales, with Henson, 25, by her side.
"Gavin has informed us that Charlotte gave birth to a beautiful baby girl at home on Thursday night. Gavin was there at the birth," a statement on the chat show host's website said.
"He has told us that mother and baby are doing just fine."
The baby reportedly arrived as the Welsh rugby team were recording a 72-18 victory over World Cup opponents Japan in Cardiff.
Henson, left out of the Wales squad for this year's World Cup, had been withdrawn from his club Ospreys' match with Ulster due to "family reasons".
Church, whose transition from precocious classical singer to TV presenter was furthered with the launch of her Channel 4 chatshow, had reportedly decided on naming her baby Ava if it was a girl.
But fellow singer turned presenter Myleene Klass stole a march on her by naming her daughter Ava when she gave birth this summer.
