Tim Vincent has become the latest contestant to be voted off ITV1's Dancing On Ice.

The former Blue Peter presenter and partner Victoria found themselves in the bottom two with javelin thrower Steve Backley and his partner Susie after receiving the least amount of public votes.

And the judging panel unanimously chose to save Steve, sending Tim home.

A sanguine Tim said afterwards: "It's been fantastic, every week's been fantastic but I've found my level this week, everyone has been brilliant."

Tim and Victoria had received 12.5 points out of 30 from the judges for their performance to Mika's Love Today.

Jason Gardiner awarded the pair just 2.5 points and commented: "It was not indicative of a week five performance. Look at your competitors - that is what you have to be compared to."

Former tennis ace Greg Rusedski achieved his highest score of the series with 16.5 points, but model Linda Lusardi was criticised for the judges for letting partner Daniel do the lion's share of the dancing.

"You have fun but you look like you are stuck to Daniel the whole time," said Ruthie Henshall, to which Linda retorted: "Didn't you see me skating the whole way down the rink on my own?"

Hollyoaks actor Chris Fountain continued to wow the judges, scoring a massive 27 out of 30 after he and partner Frankie skated to Cry Me A River by Justin Timberlake.

Awarding the pair 5.5, Karen Barber said: "Chris, you are amazing. You fumbled one of the lifts but I am shocked at your ability and the thing is you don't know good you are. You are amazing."

And the usually hard-to-please Jason added: "It was a sublime performance. The choreography at the beginning had emotion and conviction.

"It wasn't a six from me but not because you messed up but with the high lifts be careful about the dismount. It was a little heavy-landed but this was an amazing performance."
