Couples hand over stress of all-important day
Most women dream about organising their wedding day from the day they realise such a thing exists, but a new BBC programme could please the happy few who can think of nothing worse.
Whose Wedding Is It Anyway? will see couples volunteering to hand over all the planning for their special day to their nearest and dearest, with the result being seen only on the day itself.
Sending shivers down the spine of every neurotic wedding-planning brides-to-be, the friends and relatives will also have just five days to come up with the perfect day.
A team of experts will be on hand to help the Challenge Anneka-style shenanigans, including presenter Nick Knowles, top stylist Hannah Sandling and the aptly-named wedding supremo James Love.
The couple getting married will chat with Nick to talk about their likes and dislikes, but after that they are completely out of the picture.
Nick said: "It's supposed to be the happiest day of your life but very often the stresses and strains of organisation and family feuds can make it one of the most trying.
"We remove the bride and groom from this stress and ramp up all the pressure on the two families by forcing them to make all the decisions with all the consequences you would expect."
