A flying Toblerone, silky white substances and giant triangles above former Conservative party leader Michael Howard's house are just several of the thousands of UFO sightings declassified and published online by the Ministry of Defence and National Archives.
More than 6,000 pages of material from 1994 to 2000 have been released in 24 files of first-hand reports, letters and parliamentary questions.
It is the fifth collection of records to be released by the MoD and National Archives under a three-year project.

In one sighting a driver in Ebbw Wale describes being engulfed by a "tube of light", leaving him frightened, physically sick and suffering from a skin condition.
Another first-hand sighting saw a "silky-white substance" left by a triangular UFO hovering over a man's back garden in Birmingham, while senior MoD official Ralph Noyes said he had seen gun camera footage of UFOs captured by RAF fighter pilots in 1956. No records were ever found, however.
Several members of the public also reported seeing a large triangular "humming" object in sky close to the home of former Tory party leader and home secretary Michael Howard.
"It was claimed that the UFO hovered for several minutes above a field before shooting off in a flash of light," the official file said.
"An investigation by the RAF found that there was no evidence of unauthorised air activity or any security alert in the area at the time."
