Mariah Carey has decided to leave the United States of America to don a pearly queen outfit and chat like a cockney.
The Daily Mirror reports that the diva's latest whim is all things London, as she steps up her search for a house in England's capital.
"I love EastEnders and I've asked a friend to record some episodes for me," enthused the multi-million-dollared, multi-octaved singer.
"I love they way they speak – the cockney accent, so I'm gonna learn it."
Indeed, if she does move to the east end, she might want to get the lingo on pat so she can ensure she has all her favourite things: scented Harry Randalls (scented candles); and lots of pretty Postman Pats (pretty cats).
Carey is reportedly looking at pads in Old Street, and also quite likes the Marylebone and Kensington areas, although they are a little far from the sounds of the Bow Bells.
She is also looking for a country mansion to inspire her as she writes material for her next album, which might cost her a lot of bread and honey (money).
Mariah performed at Asda's Tickled Pink charity event on Sunday, which was held at the Royal Albert Hall, along with Westlife and the Sugababes.
