Charlotte Church's boyfriend Gavin Henson has issued a solemn warning about his warbling Welsh girlfriend, Charlotte Church: that the voice of an angel singer is morphing into Eddie from Absolutely Fabulous.

At yet another boozy London party, the uber-preened Welsh rugby star let his tongue run loose as he warned those who would listen that Charlie is morphing into "the Ab Fab mother from hell".

Charlotte, dressed in a zebra print jacket and red beads, with a glass of bubbly in one hand and a fag in the other, did not look dissimilar to the outlandishly eccentric and stubbornly self-obsessed Edina Monsoon.

Church had been telling guests at the Children's Charities Trust Awards that she is keen to have a baby with Gavin, and was not amused by her boyfriend's comments.

A source said the Call My Name singer vehemently denied being anything like Eddie, who is played by Jennifer Saunders on TV.

"But she saw the funny side after Gavin pointed out that she was denying being like Edina while holding a glass of bubbly and a cigarette," the insider told the Daily Star.
