Paris Hilton was less than amused when the phone numbers of her friends and acquaintances were put online
Paris Hilton - hotel heiress, IT girl, and internet star - has been given fresh reason to dislike the web after her entire phonebook was put online.
A supposed hacker attack on the multi-millionairess' T-Mobile phone resulted in both her contacts list and personal musings becoming available to anyone with access to the web.
Contact details for stars like Christina Aguilera, Vin Diesel, Eminem, Anna Kournikova, Andy Roddick, and Victoria Gotti were offered up for public consumption.
All these, and 400 more, were posted South Korean-hosted website illmob.org - although they were swiftly removed. But as, she found when a former boyfriend posted an 'intimate' film of her online, once something hits the web it is very difficult to remove.
And, the public chose not to respect the privacy of these legends of screen, stage, and sporting arena; with stars reporting incessant telephone calls.
"I didn't want to take the phones off the hook because my oldest son was out on a date," said US reality television personality Victoria Gotti to the New York Daily News.
"This went on all night. Finally, at 5.30am, I took them off the hook. This morning, I put them back on and they started ringing immediately. It's driving me insane."
