Cheltenham Races odds and tips suggest proven Cheltenham form is key

At long last The Cheltenham Festival 2011 is here and whether punters are going to the course or watching it on TV, everyone will be looking for winning tips for Cheltenham.

The Cheltenham Festival kicks off today and runs for four days. Over the course of the next four days, each horse's Cheltenham Festival odds will constantly change based on how well each is fancied for their respective races.

The showcase race at Cheltenham today should be the Champion Hurdle. Last year's winner Binocular was well fancied before being withdrawn from the race on Sunday. He was the winner of 2008's Cheltenham Festival and came third in the Champion Chase in 2009, before going on to win it in 2010. His withdrawal is good news for one of his main rival Hurricane Fly, however, has never run at Cheltenham before which is a big negative.

Wednesday and Thursday will be great days of racing, featuring the Champion Chase and the World Hurdle. Look out for some each way value in those races. The drawcard of all races at the Cheltenham Festival however is the Cheltenham Gold Cup on the final day of the Cheltenham Festival. The race's favourite, Imperial Commander, has to overcome some statistical hurdles to win as he senior to most recent winners, but his two main rivals are even older so he's in with a good chance of making it two Gold Cups in a row.
