Bradford Bulls wing Tame Tupou ruled out for rest of season
Bradford Bulls wing Tame Tupou has been ruled out for the rest of the 2008 Super League because of a serious knee injury.
The 25-year-old, who joined the club from Brisbane Broncos last year, has ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament and will need an operation to correct the problem.
Bulls coach Steve McNamara said: "It's very disappointing for both the player and the club and it's another major injury for us but that's part and parcel of the game.
"The injury to Tame is a bad one and he has been advised that it needs operating on immediately."
Tupou has not played since June 8th, when he came off the replacements bench in the 24-16 defeat to Catalans Dragons at Odsal.
In the previous two matches he came on as a substitute and scored tries in losses to Hull FC and Leeds Rhinos.
His playing time has been limited by a number of injuries this season, and today's news is represents a blow to the Bulls in what has been an up-and-down campaign thus far.
